Financial assistance for injured employees
Our employee accident cover is intended for all pet businesses with staff or host families.
It helps employees to cover unexpected (and sometimes significant) costs which may be associated with their treatment and recovery following an accident or injury at work.
Employee accident cover from Pet Business Insurance includes:
- lump sum payments for severe injuries, like loss of a limb, eyesight loss, or broken bones
- medical and dental expense coverage
- an annual aggregate limit of up to £10,000

As with other forms of insurance, there are some notable exclusions. For example, the policy does not cover claims arising from pre-existing conditions, participation in professional sports, or service in the armed forces.
It is important to note that the insured employee may be required to submit to a medical examination, conducted by a professional of our choosing.
If you need accident cover for yourself, as an employer, we also provide separate personal accident cover.
In addition, you would still need to purchase employers’ liability insurance for your Legal Liability to your staff members.
