Our loss of licence insurance is included as part of our standard policies for dog walkers, pet sitters and boarders and kennel and cattery owners.

It’s designed to protect businesses if they must forfeit their licence due to licensing regulations or are refused a licence renewal because of events beyond their control.

Should the worst come to pass, your insurance will cover you for the depreciation in value of your interest in the premises or business, and costs associated with appealing a licensing decision made against you.

As with most forms of insurance, there are some notable exclusions. For example, the policy does not cover business closures not ordered by law or forfeiture of your licence due to misconduct.

If you are concerned about protecting your business against loss of income due to other events outside your control, such as natural disasters, we also offer separate business interruption insurance.
