Public Liability Insurance for Pet Businesses
Public Liability covers your legal liability for injury to persons other than employees, and for damage to property, up to a limit of £1,000,000, £2,000,000 or £5,000,000 plus legal costs, depending on your cover
The cover includes:
- Compensation for court attendance as a witness, up to £250 per day
- Your legal liability arising out of the use of another person's vehicle for your business purposes if it is not otherwise insured
- Legal costs incurred in the defence of criminal proceedings for breach of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, up to £10,000 in any one period of insurance
- Liability for damage to premises leased, hired, rented or in your custody or control (excluding the first £250)
Not Insured:
- Liability for loss of or injury to animals in your care, custody or control
- Liability arising out of any products sold or supplied
- Breach of professional duty
- Liability arising out of asbestos or its derivatives
- Terrorism
- The first £100 of each claim for damage to property
